Driver Code of Conduct
As a racer, you are responsible for complying with all applicable safety rules as written in the 2005 NWSCA Safety Rule Book. However, we feel it important to point out the following for the benefit of new racers that may be joining the NWSCA for the first time.
The Rule Books are available in registration.
- Drivers and/or pit crew are to remain in control of their race or tow vehicles at all times. This means no excessive wheel stands; unsafe driving in the pit, staging, or spectator areas (remember the 5 MPH rule); and not backing-out of a run when out of shape.
- There must be a responsible person in the driver seat at all times whenever a race vehicle is running, even if the vehicle is on jack stands.
- Drivers are responsible for getting their vehicles into the staging lanes when called. Drivers not in line when last call is made, will not be allowed to run.
- Respect the officials and individuals that are running the race. If you do not like a decision or have a complaint, take it to the Race Director and/or Race Committee. Excessive arguing with officials or use of profane language will get you disqualified immediately.
- Race Director: Doug Wells

- Be a good sport. Unsportsmanlike conduct or conduct detrimental to racing, either by the driver, owner, and/or pit crew is unacceptable. This includes being courteous to others that are parked or camped around you in the pit area, no excessive revving of motors in the pits or staging, etc.
- Attend the driver's meeting. This meeting is not voluntary. All drivers are required to attend. This meeting provides drivers with information about the race schedule, safety issues, drivers questions, etc.
Remember, we all want to have fun. More importantly, we want to stay safe while doing so.
